  As the first article in the series of articles about countries, I thought of writing about the most powerful country in the world. The name United States of America is long so I will say America. America is a country with very little history. After being under the British and French empires for a while, this country has gained its independence and has been able to develop to the level of a world power. Today, citizens of many countries reside in this multi-cultural and multi-ethnic country. The population of this country, spread over a large territory, exceeds 330 million. So America is the third largest country in the world in terms of both population and land area. The capital is Washington, DC. New York City is the largest city in America as well as a major trading city. Los Angeles is known for its Hollywood film industry. Other major cities are Chicago, San Francisco, San Diego, Las Vegas, and Miami.

  Geographical location.

  The United States of America is located in the North American continent. America has Canada to the north, Mexico to the south, the Pacific Ocean to the west and the Atlantic Ocean to the east. Geographically America is the third largest country in the world. The two countries that are bigger than America are Russia and Canada. The longest border between two countries in the world is between the United States of America and Canada. Alaska and Hawaii are two territories that belong to the United States but are located outside the American mainland. Alaska is a territory that America bought from Russia some time ago. America has a total of 50 colonies.

  The economy of the United States is the largest economy in the world. The American economy will be 23 Trillion USD by 2022.  And its per capita income is about $63,413. The United States is the world's second largest exporter. The largest exports of the United States are crude oil and refined petroleum. Apart from this, things like integrated circuits, pharmaceuticals and medical equipment, spaceships, helicopters, airplanes and their spare parts are also exported.

  History

  By the year 2022, the age of the United States of America will be about 239 years. America is a country that was once under the British and French empires. Later, the name changed to the United States because of the 13 colonies conquered by the British. But the Americans who got their independence from the British in 1783 established a new constitution in 1789 and made George Washington its first president.

  Social status

  America is a developed country with high income. Also, this country is a high country according to HDI or Human Development Index. In the North American region, only Canada is higher than America in terms of human development. America is also slightly ahead according to the world happiness index. But in terms of security, America is at a moderate level. Because of things like drug trafficking, murder, theft, rape, America is at a rather weak level in terms of security. But America is safe to some extent compared to other countries except Canada in this region. When I say there is a bit more crime here, I mean it is relative to developed countries. America is safer than many poor and developing countries. American society is made up of a mix of ethnicities such as Asian, African, European, and Native American. Americans don't care much about culture. Most Americans are also without religious beliefs. They value human freedom highly and do not want to be bound by religion and culture. American popular characters include Elvis Presley, Michael Jackson, Bruce Lee, Muhammad Ali, Mike Tyson.

  Additional information

  The United States of America is a country with a very short history. But today, America is in a stronger position than the countries that were 2000 or 3000 years old. America is the most powerful country in the world. America is number one in the world in terms of military power. The United States was the first to acquire nuclear power. America still has the second largest number of nuclear weapons. America also becomes a permanent member of the Security Council of the United Nations. America has the most millionaires in the world. Most of the world's number one billionaires are in America. America is also among the 10 easiest countries to start a business. NASA, the world's best space agency, is also located in the United States of America. America has the most Olympic medalists in the world.

  So America is a beautiful country that people from many countries dream of going to.
