What is this crusade?

What is this crusade?

I am not going to tell the whole back story of the Crusades…

But I will tell you why the crusade was important for world politics. This is a story I thought about. But this can be very true.

The history of the Crusades goes like this,In the past, a large trade route was built connecting Europe and Asia. This trade route was called the Silk Road. Although it was called the Silk Road, all kinds of trade and materials were transported along this route. Mostly jewelry, silk cloth, pottery, pearls, and jewelry. It was transported from Asia to Europe. The things that were transported reached Europe through a trading city called Constantinople. This city of Constantinople became a very important place in the geopolitics. In other words, because of this city, the world changed to what it is today. Therefore, Constantinople was a most valuable place in the world. The silk road was located on land and sea. Most of the goods of the island countries were brought to Europe through this maritime silk road. So the Europeans did not know where the goods were brought from. That is because all the goods came to Europe from Asia through the city of Constantinople along the silk road. So, until Constantinople, Muslims were the ones who brought the goods. At that time, there was a big kingdom called Ottoman Turks. So this  The Ottoman Turks captured the city of Constantinople. Now the Ottoman Turks are the middlemen of trade in Europe and Asia. But these Turks trade very unfairly. They took full advantage of this opportunity. They sold the goods at high prices. Thus they got more profits than before. The Europeans are helpless. They need trade and goods. But now the prices of goods have increased unfairly. They had no other place to buy these things. So  The Europeans waged war against the Ottoman Turks. This war is called the famous Crusade. Although it is called the Crusade, this is not one war. There were four Crusades. But the Europeans were defeated in all the four Crusades. Therefore, the city of Constantinople belonged to the Turks.

That is the basic story of the crusade, but I haven't told the story yet.

Why was the fall of Constantinople to the Ottoman Turks so important to the New World?

Ho ho... this is the interesting story. What did the Europeans do after the city of Constantinople surrendered to the Ottoman Turks and lost the crusades..? It is after that that the Europeans start establishing colonies. Although it is said that they started establishing colonies, first Europeans came to the East for trade, but later it evolved into establishing colonies. Portugal and Spain are the first to establish colonies. Later, other powerful European countries like France, Britain, and the Netherlands also started establishing colonies. Do you know how many colonies those countries controlled? First, the American countries were discovered by Spanish and Portuguese sailors. Later, Spain and Portugal established and controlled colonies in the countries of Central and South America. Later, Britain and France established and controlled colonies in North America. Meanwhile, many countries in the East are being conquered by these countries. In particular, the British had established colonies in many major and large countries in the world such as India (old India is now larger than its land area), Australia, New Zealand, Canada, America, and South Africa. So think about it, never capture the city of Constantinople by the Ottoman Turks. Europeans do not conquer other countries and establish colonies. If such colonies were not established, many countries today would have been ordinary, undeveloped and uncivilized countries. Then Europe would have become a region with only developed countries and other countries would not have developed like that. I will put below in parts how the world would have changed if the Europeans had not established colonies. Remember, this is what I thought.

  • A country called the United States of America would not have been born, and it would not have been the world's largest economy.

  • There was a chance that no one even knew that there were countries called Australia and New Zealand.

  • China would have been the world's largest economy.

  • Due to the fact that the industrial revolution was limited to Europe only, Britain and a few major countries in Europe were likely to be countries with high technological progress and development.

  • Two countries called Pakistan and Bangladesh would not have been born.

 • India had the possibility to exist according to the old culture.

  • The first and second world wars would not have happened in the world.

  • Apart from Europeans, if there is a developed country, it would be only Japan. (The only non-European country that developed without European immigration.)

"The last part I mentioned is that Japan is the only country that developed and developed without European immigration. But South Korea also developed in the same way. But South Korea also developed after the European colonial era. So I did not add it to this list."

These are just a few things that you can imagine what the world would be like if the Europeans did not establish colonies. So imagine the change that the Ottoman Turks made to the world by capturing the city of Constantinople. That is why I first said that the city of Constantinople is a very important place in world history and has completely changed world history.

  thank you
